Patient Photos & Stories » Male Hair Transplant » Correction of Multiple Punch Graft Surgeries
This 38 year old male had multiple punch grafting sessions (he couldn’t remember if it was four or five), followed by one strip harvest surgery with “micrografts” to repair the appearance of the hairline. The patient was left with a very limited amount of coverage (possible poor growth from the surgeries) and both the hairline and distribution of hair was very unnatural. There were also up to 12 rows of punch scars in some areas of the donor area. A “staged” repair was planned, anticipating more than one surgery (2-3) would be necessary to achieve an acceptable cosmetic appearance given the advanced stage of MPB, severity of the hairline, and limited donor reserves). The markings outline the areas requiring additional grafts. The before and after photos show the improvement produced with only one session of 1769FU, in which two rows of punch donor scars were removed and converted into a much finer linear scar. The patient was ecstatic with the results. A second surgery (not shown) further improved the frontal area and donor area and provided natural coverage in the midscalp.
