Hair transplant surgery and propecia
Hair transplant surgery and propecia

Before surgery. Four years after first surgery and stopping propecia

This 37 year old man was seen for his ongoing hairloss. He was given a prescription for propecia, which helped stabilize his loss, but he still decided to proceed with a hair transplant surgery to the midscalp. It was very successful and he was happy with the results for many years. However, four years later he stopped propecia because of decreased libido and his hair loss rapidly progressed. The transplanted hair helped him retain a naturally thinning look – very similar to when he first was seen. He opted to have a second procedure to increase the density that had been lost.
